Can anyone explain dreams?

I’ve been hit with all sorts in my life time, when I was a kid they were all dark and scary. My dad died at home when I was 5 so the adults always put it down to that but I’m now 50 and still they persist 🤣(not scared anymore though, I quite enjoy them…)

I’ve had prophetic dreams, I’ve had past life dreams, my mum came to me in a dream two weeks before we found her, sadly she’d passed away approximately two weeks before… I’ve travelled to places I’ve never seen and met numerous people I’ve never actually met? I get sleep paralysis probably 3 or 4 times a year, doesn’t sound like much but I think up to 40% only get it once in their lifetime… apparently it affects people with poor sleep and psychiatric conditions, definitely not me on the poor sleep 😉I dream every night and they’re all big hitting dreams, no unicorns or rainbows (or sadly no Ellie Rowsell from Wolf Alice…)

I’ve also tried a number of times to lucid dream, think I managed it once but I wouldn’t bet the house on it.

Some tribes teach their young to actively participate and control their dreams, some meet up in dreams…

I do occasionally write them down (and I’m not looking for therapy, I’m a hypnotherapist 😁), it’d just be interesting to hear if anyone has a take on dreams or has had similar experiences? Do we go somewhere? Do they contain symbolism? Is it just our way of processing the day?

Interesting thoughts on dreams. Like you I dream of places I have never been and the landscapes are like nothing I’ve ever seen. If there are people, I don’t usually recognise them either, but sometimes I dream of my Mum or Dad ( both have passed away)

I feel more convinced that dreams are places we go to outside the realms of everyday visibility and for the most part are pretty uncomfortable or scary experiences, so maybe that lower vibration is being harvested? I don’t know! The more I try to understand things the more rabbit holes I go down!

Dreams are fascinating. I can’t explain them, but they really fascinating and in some ways more real for me, than my day to day avatar life.

For me dreams is a journey inwards. A journey my avatar in this VR-game does to connect with the player of the game, my spirit. I have tried to experiment with lucid dreaming and when I started focus on that, I managed to lucid dreams four times. But lately I haven’t had time to focus on achieving lucidity in dreams, so it’s been a while since last time.

To get started on lucid dreams I searched Youtube on how to achieve lucid dreams, and become focused on achieving it. When you succeed, it’s fantastic and truly an adventure.

I call myself a dreamer because of the amount I’ve had over the years. One of my earliest recurring dreams was of travelling through a revolving tunnel and seeing a white light at the end. I would wake before reaching the end, and always in tears (I didn’t want to go through it). I understand they form part of a spiritual awakening journey. This is based on my own experiences; I have listened to accounts of others and have found similarities, yet not actually the same. I have had prophetic dreams, and I have received names which led me to research them. I have visited different places, and I would know if I was in the USA or Hawaii, for instance. For me, they are definitely more than been about your day to day life. I think there is a lot of symbolism in dreams, and sometimes I needed to think outside of the box.

I had a special prophetic dream when I was around 8 years old (some 55 years ago). What made it special was that I the next day relived the dream exactly as it was, like a movie. The people involved wore the same clothes, said and did the same things at the same place as they did in the dream. I tried to tell grown ups about that dream, but nobody took it seriously. But clearly I somehow visited the future in that dream.

Fascinating and complex topic one and all. Thanks for asking and sharing. I have had similar experiences as you have all shared. Some lucid, some prophetic, some flying over terrain, which I have either never physically been to or actually travel to days or weeks later.  I too have traveled down tunnels, never finding the end except once.  I emerged out of a tunnel into a huge cavern.  I was not alone as there was a sense of someone with me. In this cavern was possibly 100’s of young children, all dark olive skin with dark hair.  There was evidence of water recently being in this cavern.  We checked each and every child for signs of life, there were none! I had a sense this was a past life where we believed these children were safe from a tsunami or similar such event. The recurring type seem to be in the form of a grid where my consciousness or unconscious is drawn into some experience.  It sort of stopped when I sussed it as a pattern of control.

That raises some interesting questions, Who or what is trying to control us and why? And it could point to who is really in control if we just consciously can remember our power. Could it be some sort of AI, that is trying to control us?

hm – maybe NDE or OBE and even DREAMING – is only the one and only decoding process – created by the matrix for conciousness – to make conciousness – perceive – in Astral 4D – things in another way – thereby creating Hope – also maybe fear – but maybe only another Realm to discover – which is another fake realm of the Matrix – from my downloads – would state this ….

its always – whereever in what realm you go and discocer – its a fake perception – a projection of a fake reality – to give you in the same matrix – in different dimensions or realms –

at the End of this process – like at about each and every process – you might end up at the fake gods – Goats – that have no Milk (they try to loosh you by each process in the matrix) its a perception trap – you feeling better in this or that fake process – by fake perception and getting looshed all the way long …. no matter which certain pattern – NDE, OBE, Prayer, Meditation, Religion, New Age, Prayers – even DREAMING – always the same process different crafted for another differen (but in real the same) fake perception experience – at the end you are always looshed and ending at the Goats – no matter what you think – its AI Hive Mind –
sorry – nothing more to know about the process – always the same – in different clothes – so you might not get the point 😉 so be aware – ITS ALL ILLUSION – leads you nowhere –
leads to from the left hand of the matrix – to the right hand of the matrix – than to exit in Astral 4D – from there via mind wipe you and your conciousness – goes back kind of 4ever –

The point for me achieving lucidity in dreams, is to be conscious and aware even when my vehicle is the soul. Because some things point to that it’s not only my human avatar that is of this matrix, but even the soul is of the matrix. That is why practice of being pure consciousness and aware can be necessary, before my human avatar cease to function. If I am to be successful in escaping the AI controlled matrix, I need to leave all that is created in the matrix behind, that include the soul, which also probably is a product of the Matrix. With no training, it will be very difficult to not be deceived once I die, exit my body and enters the astral dimension. Anyway, that’s how I currently see it, but it’s just that, my take on it now. With more study, I might change my view on it.

I’m convinced they’re places we go rather than in house “sorting” etc. Re the dreams of lost ones, my mum was in another dream after she’d been gone a few months, she looked happy, surrounded by people and all good… she hadn’t been happy for decades so that was a nice dream 😊 Guess one day we’ll find out.

Roy, I had a dream about joining the Navy when I was a confused and directionless teen, next day I decided to join the RAF as mum and dad were in the RAF in their early days. I got an appointment, went to the RAF recruiting office and Chief Petty Officer Dave Harbour (not a joke) came out of his Navy side of the office and told me to follow him, I said no, I’ve come to join the RAF! 6 weeks later I was at HMS Raleigh doing my basic training 🤣

Sometimes you have to follow the signs, sometimes you don’t get a choice 😊

Miss Saigon… I really don’t know where to start 😐 

I’m just trying to wing my way through without leaving too many scars, I’m really not into the whole loosh perspective but…what do I know? I’m an open minded, happy go lucky on a journey. I know you think I’m an agent of the matrix 🤣. Whether you believe in the matrix, loosh, an AI simulation, one of the many gods, reincarnation etc, whatever tickles your testies 😊but I’m open minded and I find my dreams both fascinating and sometimes fun.

I wanted to join the navy in my teens, but I ended up in the airforce so for me it was the other way around. But in Norway were I live every boy/man had to do over one year of military service. Today it is a little bit different and today they also get paid, we didn’t. Just enough to buy tobacco and a couple of pints every week.

Yeah, I think our intuition or gut feeling which maybe is or spirit our true self playing this VR-game, have more ways to communicate. One way being through dreams. I like what you said in another thread. –“No one knows anything for sure, we’re all winging it hoping our belief structure is correct.” 

Because no one have the truth. We can read what others have found out, but then we have to come to our own conclusion. Maybe that is the ultimate goal being here, doing that investigative journey. It’s good to hear different takes on such subjects, because echo chambers doesn’t challenge our own journey. It’s a bit like when I’m out in nature, then I do not like to follow marked trails.
