Video player shortcuts?

Hi Josh / Web Developers at Ickonic,

Would it be possible to add 2 x shortcuts to the Ickonic Video player please?

I use many different video players and with all of them I can press ‘F’ to toggle fullscreen and ‘M’ to toggle mute sound. But the Ickonic video player doesn’t have this functionality – the number of times I’ve gone to press F to watch fullscreen or M to mute the sounds then realised I’m on Ickonic. We already have the SPACE to toggle pause/play and LEFT and RIGHT keys to jump back and forth in the video.

One more tweak if possible – when dragging the slider on a video, it doesn’t HINT at the time your dragging, so if your trying to find a particular timestamp you have to mess around to get there.

As a web developer in javascript and javascript frameworks I know this is a simple task to accomplish – I’m wondering if maybe you forgot… do we have an ETA please?

Okay, you can now use the F key for full screen and M for mute/unmute toggle. Next on my list is the time-stamp on hover over the playback bar. I should be able to get to that next week and will give you a status update then as well. Very best.

I just pressed ‘F’ out of habit and the screen toggled into fullscreen mode, it was a beautiful moment haha…. so I came back here to thank you! I can’t tell you what a difference it makes! I’m always using shortcuts on various video players.Much appreciated Josh!. 👍
