Firestick App not working

Hello

I’ve had an issue for months with the Ickonic Firestick app not working. I try using Firestick authentication via my account and I get an error: “We could not log you in, please check the code you entered is valid.” I know the code is correct. Anyway I tried logging on using my username and password but the UI doesn’t let me select that option. It doesn’t allow me to select that option. Am I being silly or is there an issue with the App? Any help you can provide would be appreciated. I’d much rather use the App than use a web browser to watch.

I’m glad I’m not the only one! There must be more than just us two who the App doesn’t work for – surely…

Hello! Near the last half of 2025, we we forced to perform a bunch of under-the-hood work that has broken our AndroidTV and Firestick apps. We do plan to resurrect them this year, hopefully before the end of Q2, but for now we suggest using the Roku app. I know for people who don’t have a Roku device, this isn’t the best of news. Believe me, our desire was not to break any existing platform functionality, but we were caught in a bit of a bind that simply required these painful migrations that we’re working through right now.

Anyone else have the issue with on the android app the cast icon disappearing meaning you can’t cast to your smart tv
